Frequently Asked Questions
  • Do I apply this myself or do you have professional applicators in Pennsylvania?

Currently, we have professional applicators in Florida.  We are however, offering applicator position around the country.  At this time, you will need to apply the product yourself or if you have a friend that can help you, that would be wonderful.  If you are patient and have the ability, you can certainly apply our product yourself and get an incredible result with an incredible product.  We look forward to your product order and your success.

  • Where can I purchase your product locally?

Our products are only available through our website: http://www.dirtygroutbegone.com.   If you need assistance with your order, feel free to contact us at 1-866-874-6323.

  • Can the grout/tile color-sealer be used on a bath or shower wall?

Our product is a combination color sealer. It can be used on a bathroom shower or tub wall.  Note: You must be sure that the wall is thoroughly dry before applying. Water is absorbed through the grout lines and into the wall board.  You may have to let the walls dry for at least one week.

  • I have used a grout colorant, Custom Building Products Grout Renew, on my grout but it needs to be refreshed about once a year.  Would I be able to apply your product over this one?

If you use our product, it will last 7-10 years. In addition it will virtually cover over any product with the exception of rubber and plastic. We don't know what your product base is. You may have to apply a second coat.

  • If I only want to clean the grout and not change the original color what products are needed?

Cleaning the grout lines thoroughly is a major task in itself.  Most people are not able to get completely clean grout lines no matter what they do. Our cleaning chemical offers a superior cleaning capability. However, after applying them you would need to scrub the grout lines with a grout brush, rinse over with clear water and then extract with a shop vac.  This will give you the ability to pull that entire gunk in the grout lines straight and out. This is why we offer a color sealer. By using our color sealer, you will never have to worry about dirty grout lines for the next 7-10 years. Most people are happy.  Lightly clean and prep their grout lines and then color seal them.  After the process is completed, nothing will stick in the grout lines when you mop or sweep.

You can use the Incredible Floor Cleaners: One Incredible Cleaner + Break Away (Super Degreaser) to clean your tile and grout.  Please refer to the product page link http://www.dirtygroutbegone.com/products to read important information regarding the product.

  • Do you sell just the sealer?

No, we don't sell just the sealer.  We sell the color and sealer as a package because they work together and it last between 7-10 years.  Regular sealer only last up to 7-months.

  • Is there a place in Naples where we might see the grout cleaning and sealing tool in use?

Our tool is only available for people who wish to be professional applicators in their counties.

  • I READ ABOUT YOUR FINE PRODUCT IN MY NEWSPAPER TODAY. I HAD WHITE TILE AND WHITE GROUT INSTALLED IN TWO BATHROOMS. I DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE GROUT. I JUST WANT A CLEANER THAT WILL GET THE GROUT CLEAN AND WILL STAY CLEAN FOR AWHILE. I LOOKED AT YOUR PAGE AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I NEED TO ORDER FOR MY NEED. HELP PLEASE.

We hear what you're saying.  However, why not use a white color sealer which will last 7-10 years and make you’re cleaning so easy without mold, mildew and dirt issues.  You have the opportunity to do it right this time and have no more cleaning issues.  We refer you back to the article and our website.

  • I'm anticipating trying your product. The question I have: We have a marble kitchen floor which, after cleaned will have to be sealed as well. Will the marble sealer I use be problematic after I do the grout? Thanks, Rick

Rick, great news! Go ahead and clean your marble floor.  Color and seal the grout lines with our product.  Then, finish off your floor any way you want.

  • I'm interested in trying your product on my kitchen counter tile grout. The grout is dark brown, probably 21 years old. The grout is more than 1/4" wide but less than 3/8" -- more like 5/16". Should I order for 1/4" or 3/8"? Also, since I don't know the actual grout color name, do you think "coffee" is the best choice for dark brown? I have 34 linear feet of counter that is 24" deep tiled in 4 1/4" tiles, plus about 26 feet of tiled backsplash that is 16" high. How much product should I order?

Go with the 1/4 inch wide applicator brush. Coffee or clay color would be an excellent choice with your tile color.  We do not know how dirty your grout and tile is.  You can either order the kit which will give you the cleaner as well as the color-sealer. Or you could go with the color sealer only if your grout lines are not terribly dirty.

  •  We would like to know if dirty grout be gone products are available in stores and where. We travel full time in a RV and it would be hard to order and receive your products while traveling.

We understand your dilemma.  We've been there.  Our fine products are only sold by mail order.  We suggest that maybe you have a friend who would allow us to ship your product choice to them.

  • My father is interested in your product. Can you provide a step by step description of what he would have to do to use your product from start to finish? Does he have to take the old grout out?

Good news!  You don't need to remove your current grout.  You have two easy options to color seal your grout lines. 1.) Apply our product directly over your current grout lines just as they are.  2.) Clean/prep your grout lines with our cleaning products as best as you can.  Afterwards, let the grout lines dry for at least 48-hrs. Now, simply apply our color sealer and your project is complete.  For further detailed information, please go back our website: http://www.dirtygroutbegone.com and read information under your specific interest.

  • I have read your information and still do not understand what products apply.  If I simply want to clean the grout on my kitchen floor, which product do I use? If I to seal the grout (after cleaning) and keep the existing color on my grout, what product do I use?

To clean your tile and grout in the kitchen floor; you need the Incredible Cleaners: which consist of the One Incredible Cleaner powder and the Break Away (Super Deagreaser). You can buy them separately or as a package.  Please click this link to view and read the information: http://www.dirtygroutbegone.com/products

After cleaning your tile and grout floor, wait a day or two to make sure that your grout lines are dry.  Then you can apply the color/sealer that matches your original grout color.  You also have the option of changing your grout color.  Please click this link to view and read information on color/sealer: http://www.dirtygroutbegone.com/colorsealer

  • Is the grout color a paint or stain? You mentions it gets hard.  Does that mean it can chip away?

Our product dries hard as nails and will never chip away.  It is not a stain, it is a very special product which actually fills the grout pores completely.

  • Your before and after photos are not very clear.  On applying the color sealer, if it gets on the tile, does it clean off easily?

All of our pictures show jobs in progress.  The darker grout lines are the unfinished job in each of the pictures.  We're not sure why you're not able to see the difference.

Our color-sealer does allow easy removal from the tile.  Just be sure and wipe off thoroughly before it has a chance to dry.  Once the product is dry and cured, it will be virtually impossible to remove it.
